Brett is riding a wave that he didn't start. He surrendered to full time ministry lying in a hospital bed located on a jungle island in South Philippines. Since that time, it has been his clear aim to preach the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to mobilize the next generation to answer God's call to make disciples of all nations.
In November, 2016, Brett came back to his home state to serve as the Senior Pastor of FBC Bay St. Louis on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Before serving in the Bay, Brett spent 3 and half years at Faith Baptist Church in Bartlett, TN as the Next Generation Pastor. Before serving at Faith, Brett spent 6 years serving as the Student Pastor at FBC Batesville, MS.
Brett has international mission experience preaching and proclaiming the gospel in places such as East Asia, Northern India, Portugal, Guatemala, and the Philippines. Brett has worked with underground house networks in Southeast Asia. He has led multiple trips of college students to South Asia. His passion is to see the gospel taken to every people group on the Earth. He believes the next generation is the most readily available and most willing to go to the hard and unreached places.
Brett's ministry objective is to boldly proclaim the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To disciple, encourage, equip, and mobilize generations to be the light of the world.
Brett is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a BA in History. Brett also holds a Masters of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to the love of his life, Allison. They have 4 children. Brett and Allison graduated from the University of MS.
In his free time Brett enjoys fishing here on the Gulf coast and sports of any kind. He loves SEC football!
